Welcome to the IAFCI

The International Association of Fireplace & Chimney Inspectors (IAFCI) is a Non-Profit Association formed to facilitate education and promote professionalism within the Hearth, Fireplace, Vent and Chimney Inspection Industry.

It is the intent of this Association to be a conduit and organize educational classes, events, and workshops. Our clear intent is to increase the knowledge of the Professional Inspector and all related Associates.

This Association also acts as a liaison between the Inspectors, Manufacturer?s, and Suppliers to gain a further understanding of the performance, intended application and the actual field conditions. IAFCI intends to work closely with fire investigators and insurance adjusters for a well-rounded educational experience.

IAFCI, its Members, and Educational Providers will conform, utilize and assist in the application of recognized standards, listings, and codes for all hearth products intended for service, repair, replacement, or new construction.

The directive of this Association is to provide a professional environment for Inspectors to learn, achieve, discuss, and develop as Professionals, which represents the best interest of the Consumer, the Industry, the Association, and the IAFCI Members.
