IAFCI Mission Statement

IAFCI’s Mission is to provide an atmosphere that will develop the skills of the professional inspector by interactions with others to learn codes and standards to properly detect violations, damages, malfunctions and dangers of chimney and vent systems.

IAFCI seeks to provide a network of inspectors in order to facilitate free exchange of ideas.

IAFCI will provide a clear position on adherence to codes, standards, listings, and manufacturers’ instructions through continuing education.

IAFCI encourages its members to be active in the process of changing codes, standards and testing procedures to benefit the general public by alerting the association of hazards found through testing, investigations and inspections.

IAFCI’s goal is to eliminate chimney health hazards and related fires by encouraging, providing, and assisting the education of Professional Inspectors.
